Donating a hen will not only increase Batwa income but also add value to their daily meal. This will supplement on the efforts to reduce malnutrition in children which is still a challenge among Batwa families.
Providing at least 4 hens per family totaling to 1200 hens is our target. This will provide eggs for their children hence reducing on malnutrition rate.
Secondary chicken rearing is a little bit cheap compared to rearing other animals since their feeding is locally made and readily available on the market.
